Halo owners have yet another statistic to brag about. We’ve committed mass Covenant mayhem to the tune of 10 billion aliens killed in Halo 3’s story driven campaign mode. Covenant-hating Halo fans reached that milestone this weekend, according to Bungie.
That statistics comes not long after the announcement that Halo 3 fans have played 1 billion multiplayer games, another indication that Halo is, like, still a force to be reckoned with.
Since Billions of things are sometimes hard to wrap one’s brain around, Bungie breaks it down in more digestible terms: “Crude math places the estimate of daily Halo 3 Covenant kills, launch-to-date, at over 17,500,000. That’s 730,000 killed per hour or 12,000 Covenant troops killed per minute.”
Congratulations, you genocidal maniacs.

That equates to about:
3 billion times being called “gay”
3 billion tea bags
1 billion racial slurs
1 billion “yo momma’” taunts
1 billions “Take me on one on one, bitch!”
and 1 billion “oh shit! You ran in front of me with the rocket launcher! It wasn’t my fault!”
