Ensemble Studios May Be Dead (Soon), But They’re Not Gonna Be Out
Ensemble Studios may be going down, but that doesn’t mean all those talented developers behind the Dallas-based, real-time-strategy centric studio are to be lost to the abyss.
Halo Wars Assistant Producer Bill Jackson has informed us that the “key team members” are all staying on board to finish up Halo Wars and get it out the door, and that all is not doom and gloom for the developers once the game wraps.
Jackson said to expect news from the group, even going as far as to say “good news”. Let’s hope they land on their feet in the near future as a new studio, perhaps another studio that can one day be bought up by Microsoft Game Studios…

But of course they’re not out. Microsoft would have to be completely and utterly senseless to let Ensemble’s talent go to waste, and despite my overbearing anti-Microsoft inclination, I’m willing to admit that they do have command over such faculties as logic.
