Even More Halo Movie Concept Art

Earlier in the week we brought you some news about the second Halo Movie lasting long enough to generate some concept art. Well here’s another pic for your enjoyment.

The drawings created by artist Kasra Farahani, are depicting some of the key scenes from writer Stuart Beattie’s (Pirates of the Caribbean writer) screenplay, which in turn is based on the events in the novel Fall of Reach. We were promised that last week’s image was the first of five, and this week, film site Latino Review obliges, with a 2nd picture, this time showing the kids (including Master “John” Chief) being put through their paces by some UNSC instructors. Bungie’s Halo 3 Beats Out GTA IV, Portal, Wii Fit For Edge’s Innovation Award

UK publication Edge has declared that Bungie’s blockbuster Halo 3 “does most to further the creative culture of gaming” by awarding it the Edge Award for Interactive Innovation at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival today. Our favorite Xbox 360 game beat out Grand Theft Auto IV, Portal, Rock Band, Super Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit to secure the honor, with Edge describing that it’s “the integration and coherence of Halo 3’s online content that makes the game stand apart.” read more »

Second Halo Movie Movie Lives Long Enough To Generate Concept Art

That first Halo movie project? With Neil Blomkamp and Peter Jackson? It SO died. Seems like it’s never going to be made. But, as we mentioned previously, Halo nerd and movie writer Stuart Beattie (of Pirates of the Caribbean fame) has stepped into the vacuum left by Jackson et al, and has written a script based on the events of the first Halo novel, Fall of Reach.
