The one thing that throws n00bs about playing Halo online is that in >4×4 matches, you needed to push-to-(smack)talk. Well, according to Bungie’s weekly update, the push to talk feature in Halo 3 is getting a bit less restrictive.

Since the game was launched, any player on a team larger than 4 players had to press the d-pad in order to talk during a match. Now, Bungie is upping the limit to only 6 player teams. So only people playing in Social Big Team matches need worry about pushing the button.

Taking all situations into account, and caring about the poor people on dial-up type service, Bungie does warn that this could result in increased lag for some players, not to mention increased chances of being completely trashed by your teammates when you do something wrong.

Incidentally, for those who aren’t inclined to read instructions, here’s your reason for everyone ignoring you all those games. But worry no more…
