The 6th(wow sixth already??) Halo novel has been announced by Bungie. This latest novel will be called “The Cole Protocol”, and it will center around the story of the mysterious “Spartan Gray Team” as they take “readers into an unexplored conflict of the Human-Covenant War where unlikely alliances are formed and shattered…”.

The book will be written by Tobias S. Buckell of Ragamuffin fame, and is due in the Fall 2008.
