Daniel Petric, for those who haven’t turned on a television in a while, is the Ohio teen who shot and killed his mother over a dispute involving Halo 3. Well Daniel was convicted of aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder, and other charges related to the heinous crime.

As the story goes, Petric purchased himself a copy of Halo 3 even after his parents’ Mark and Susan had expressly forbid him to do so. After having the game confiscated, Daniel broke into his father’s lock box, which held the game and a 9mm handgun, entered the living room of his house, asked his parents to close their eyes, and shot both of them in the head, killing his mother and wounding his father. read more »

Microsoft’s Robbie Bach has just announced during the company’s CES keynote that a demo for Ensemble’s last title, Halo Wars for the Xbox 360, will be made available for download on Xbox Live on February 5.

What’s more, he announced that Halo Wars would be out on February 28, instead of the previously-announced March 3, bringing the US release into line with the rest of the world.
