Halo 3 Still Winning Awards

Halo 3 Believe Ad Campaign

Say what you want about Bungie’s juggarnaut video game, Halo 3, from a gameplay or plot standpoint, but apparently there is at least 1 aspect of the game that was excellent from start to finish – their ad campaign.

Created by the McCann Worldgroup and T.A.G., Halo 3’s “Believe” ad campaign actually didn’t feature ANY gameplay footage. Instead, the campaign created a mood using strong imagery that stirred the audience in a way simple screenshots of the video game could not.

Earlier this month, the campaign received “best in show” at The One Show, an annual worldwide advertising awards show that celebrates great ideas in marketing.

Kudos to Halo 3, McCann Worldgroup, T.A.G., and of course, Microsoft and Bungie!

Halo Cosplay Brough To The Next Level

Halo Cosplay Master Chief Marine Armor

Meet Adam and Walter. They’re from the 405th.
Believe me when I say Adam and Walter like Halo, and they also like cosplay, so seeing them dressed as Halo characters isn’t that big a shock. But what is a shock is the quality of those costumes! If somebody said those were photos smuggled off the set of the new Halo movie I’d be inclined to believe them, for a second, before remembering there is no Halo movie.

Hey Hollywood, get your act in gear, you’ve already got your costumes right here!

Halo 3 Coming to Nintendo Wii?

Well, Ok, this is probably as close as we’ll ever see to the Master Chief coming to Nintendo’s Wii, but how freggin awesome would it be to stick a plasma grenade to Pikachu? Most of the script is the predictable stereotypes but, c’mon, some of it’s pretty clever. Especially the aerial combat. As soon as they got in the Pelican, I was waiting for Starfox and … yep, it doesn’t disappoint.

As the story goes, “Gal” and “Guy” go out for a date, well evil “Villain” comes along and tries to spoil everything.
