College Humor Filming Halo Detective

College Humor Halo Detective

Waay back at the New York launch of Halo 3 there was a guy in self-made Master Chief armor. Yea. That’s a Halo fan. Well, it seems like we weren’t the only ones to take notice of his shiny metal exoskeleton. The zany folks over at College Humor, creators of Street Fighter: The Early Years, managed to get in touch with Jim, who comments about appearing in a short film for the site. Jim also passed along some pictures of the set.
The movie, which could possibly be called Halo Detective, should be showing up on the humor site in the next few weeks. For now, visit the Flickr gallery below for more shots of the Master Chief in action.

Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack Screenshots

When the super sleuths at MTV Multiplayer spotted some Microsoft job listings earlier this week, confirming that the software giant was indeed staffing up for 1 of the 2 Peter Jackson backed “entertainment experiences,” some started thinking,What about Bungie?

No worries! They’re fine with it, according to the Bungie Weekly Update. Community man Frankie O’Connor says that “having worked with him already, we are possibly more excited than you are to see what someone of Peter Jackson’s imagination, talent and resources can bring to a Halo game experience.”

Bungie is supposedly “very much involved in multiple aspects the Halo Universe as part of our ongoing relationship with Microsoft”, prompting us to wonder what one of their in-progress projects will be revealed “in the very near future.”

Perhaps it’s that Halo prequel EGM has taunted us with? Future!?! Are you here yet?!?

Bungie’s Halo’s Master Chief

As the latest June issue of EGM magazine arrives as our doorsteps, our eyes feast on more than just sexy details on the up and coming Splatterhouse, EGM also includes rumored details on Halo developer Bungie’s next project.

Unsurprisingly, EGM says that this next iteration of Halo will be a shooter set in the Halo universe, but will move to a third-person perspective and a setting that predates the original Halo.

A Halo Prequel?

The cryptic Quarterman writes in his Rumor Mill “WETA is definitely involved in some capacity” and that we might hear more about Bungie’s post-Halo 3 work as early as November, officially.
