Microsoft Corp Double Fixes Wiped Xbox 360

Customized Xbox 360 signed and drawn on by Bungie
If you remember the story of the poor gamer Nataniel who sent his personalized Xbox 360 in for repairs only to get it back completely wiped clean. Well it turns out that Nathaniel might perceive that tragic incident as the best thing ever. On top of the awesome care package from the boys at Bungie, Microsoft also decided to make reparations, shipping off an impressive package to Nathaniel.

So what came to our poor distraught gamer? A fancy cardboard box.

But what’s really cool is what’s inside:

- 1 Xbox 360 console (signed with new artwork by Luke McKay, signatures from Xbox 360 team, and the Bungie Staff)
- 1 Xbox 360 faceplate (signed by Bill Gates and others)
- Devil May Cry 4
- Lost Odyssey
- Rainbow Six Vegas 2
- Gears of War
- Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom
- 2 ‘What’s Your Gamerscore?’ Bumperstickers
- Xbox 360 CD Wallet
- Signed picture of Bill Gates

Not a bad 2nd bag of loot is it? Although, I’ll be curious to see what happens to the signed pic of Mr Gates.
There’s even more to the story at Hawty McBloggy.

Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack Foundry

For those a little short on Microsoft Points will be relieved to know that today’s Bungie Weekly Update is kind enough to remind us there’s a present in store for us this coming Tuesday. Tuesday, March 25 at 2am PDT, the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 will become FREE for download on Xbox Live. As they say, good things come to those who wait. Interestingly, March 25th will also coincide with the revealation of the 3rd map from the soon to be released Legendary Map Pack. But don’t get your hopes up, Bungie has no public plans for the Legendary Map Pack to become a freebie. But One Never Knows….

Ebay Find: Bungie’s Halo Soda Vending Machine Auction - For (High) Charity

Bungie Signed Halo Mountain Dew Soda Vending Machine!

Those crazy people over at Bungie are auctioning off their Halo Mountain Dew vending machine that has been in their office since the beginning of time. The soda machine has been signed and illustrated on by the entire Bungie team and proudly displays Halo’s hero, Master Chief, as shown on Halo 2. Strangely, the machine was never used, so it’s in great condition. And as described in the Ebay Auction, All proceeds for the auction will go to The Make a Wish Foundation. So, if you’re a love Halo, and love Mountain Dew, this is probably a MUST HAVE. Currently the auction is at $3,050 without considerations for the shipping charge, which will run another $200 to $2,000 depending on where you live in the U.S.
